Produced by Mohammad Sheikh-Haeri, the English program “Ramadan, the Month of Self-purification” will be aired every day during the month of Ramadan.
The program will review Iranian traditions of the holy month practiced in different regions of the country, and Islamic experts will talk about the life of Imam Ali (AS) and his son Imam Hassan (AS).
In addition, a foreign guest will be invited to the program every day to talk about the traditions, foods and rituals of his/her country during Ramadan.
Other programs, including “The Truth” and “Awakening,” will discuss the philosophy of worshiping in this month, the importance of fasting and its effect on the body and mind.
Broadcasting the TV series “Imam Ali (AS) by director Davud Mir Baqeri with English subtitles is also among the English programs from Sahar TV station.
The French, Kurdish, Bosnian, and Urdu sections of the TV station have also arranged several programs for this month.
“Spring of Heart”, “Health in Ramadan”, and “Clinic of Peace” are among the Urdu language programs.
The Bosnian language programs are “Ramazan-e Karim” by producer Ramin Bayani and “The Miracle of Quran” produced by Hadi Afshar.
The Azeri-language programs include “The Spread of Charity”, “Shining Dawn”, and “Divine Feast”.
“The Spread of Charity” produced by Ramin Bayani consists of interviews with people from Azerbaijan, who speak of their memories of the past and the traditions practiced in this month.
The traditions of the Iranian Azeri nation are also included in this program.
“Divine Feast” produced by Ahmadreza Karimi will be aired during the iftar time (the time to break fast in the evening) and Islamic experts will be present in this program to answer any questions on Ramadan.
“Shining Dawn” by Amir-Hushang Daraii discusses the concept of Islamic government, the rituals of Ramdan, the virtue of the nights of the 19th, 21st, and 23rd of Ramadan, which are known as the ‘grand nights’, on one of which the entire Quran was sent to the Prophet Muhammad (S).
